Default Working/Fixed Directong Sorrows Furnace Music Pak

With some tinkering and problem solving, I made WMAs that are working with the GW client for the bonus Sorrows Furnace Music, they play in Sorrows Furnace and other applicable areas that are pointed out within the existing Directsong DS file, all you need to do with these WMAs is to put them into the Directsong Folder and they play ingame like the old ones did, and theres also no DRM like the newer Directsong music.

I just would like some advice as to what places I can properly upload them to the internet for download, and where it would be safe to put links to that download, so this music can be shared with fellow GW music fans.

As to how it worked, I found MP3s of the Music from a soundtrack and converted them to WMA's, and made sure the filenames matched the names used in the directsong file. Also, considoring the pak was originaly free, I dont think theres any realistic issues with me doing this either.

No real clue as to WHY Directsong was too lazy to do this themselves, you can probably play ANY kind of WMA file in GW if you mod the directsong file, so all that was really needed was conversion and the DRM getting stripped, but, hm, well, theres working ones now Although, I do wonder why they decided not to support the pak anymore.

I may have put this in the wrong forum, but I dont quite know for sure, and I was looking to get feedback on my questions too, along with spreading the news, I guess.

I was not aware that their music pack had stopped working.

Why convert them from mp3 at all.. most devices (and media players) will play mp3's just fine. (btw I already have Sorrow's Furnace in mp3 format )

I'm glad you found a way for yourself and others to enjoy the music of Sorrow's Furnace. If people care to utilize your solution, they can find somewhere to buy the music as we can't condone the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material.
